Queen Elizabeth Stadium
The Olympic Stadium at Stratford, now the Queen Elizabeth stadium, has now been fully reburbished in preparation for it new tenants West Ham FC. However, before they move into their new home the stadium is currently holding matches for the Rugby World Cup. As well as upgrades to the roof, seating and the removal of the track, the stadium security needed some upgrades, including security windows, security counters, security screens, and night payment windows, for the safety of the staff and ticket-holders. Price Security were chosen for the job, having been briefed with the requirements and a precise deadline they supplied top quality bespoke metal fabrication, with their preferred glass partner being ESG and its ESG Secure™ range of security glass.
Specifications were to the point and that meant each requirement must be met. This job required units to be installed within a tight schedule. They all had to be finished in 316 Brushed Stainless Steel; provide a serviceable audibility system (with induction loop); a sliding drawer unit allowing a safe and secure method of transferring tickets and cash and credit card transactions. The units had to come with LPS1175 SR2 and E30 glazing and framework; and a lockable drawer unit.
